In
1990 Larami released the Supersoaker 100, a large and powerful rifle
for
its time. Yet, in comparison to modern weapons the 100 was an
unreliable
fragile peice of plastic. Prone to failure, and with the
innifecient
amount of pumps the 100 was soon abandoned by grunts when the new XP
line
of arms became available a few years later. In 1998 Larami
rereleased
the classic weapons for its 10th year aniversary. Though the
design
hadn't changed the new 100s were stronger, more dependable, and
ultimately
more efficient. A small number of grunts and scouts picked up new
100s and were rewarded with its performance. In the first Vermin
War the SS 100mk2 was one of the few reliable weapons on Red Scorpion's
side. The amount of shots this arm can release is very
impressive,
and deserves a certain amount of respect. This is one of the
advantages
of the SS 100mk2, while other grunts using assault rifles like the CPS
1200 or Max D 6000 fire all their ammunition and are left defenceless
in
the thick of battle the 100 user will still have a good amount of water
left. Yet, one disadvantage of this weapon is its small
calibre.
The 1mm nozzle leaves one wanting more power, guns like the CPS
1000/1200/2100
deliver 5x the punch that the 100 gives out. Yet for a 1x nozzle
the 100 can pack a punch worthy of noting. Some warriors who have
been shot by the mk2 in close range urban battling have recieved the
full
power of the 100 and regreted it later. The 100's problem is that
it has a very high HPL, yet because the internals are made of plastic
tubing
like a Nerf SM 5000, and not made out of PVC like reguler supersoakers
one cannot modify the 100's nozzle any greater then it is because of
the
small size of the tubing. Over all the SS 100mk2 is a weapon
worth
noticing, but it is not the best weapon out there by far. It
would
serve a warrior best for scouting and skirmishing then as an assault
rifle.
Pros:
Great Shot Time, stinging power, light, good capacity, guided pump.
Cons:
Internals fragile, small nozzle, non CPS
Recommendation: Yes
