Command Proverbs
1. The first
team to
the battle field is generally the best ready, and has the initiative.
2. When waiting
for
the enemy to invade your territory always guard the critical areas,
roads,
paths, bridges, stream fords, etc.
3. Move to
places the
enemy does not expect you, make them have to travel hard and swiftly to
get to you.
4. Make your
enemy see
your strengths as weaknesses, your weaknesses as strengths. In
other
words, where you have your elite troops make them appear week by
showing
off their backup weapons, hidingtheir main weapons, and acting
undisciplined;
the opposite for your weaknesses.
5. When an
enemy splits
their force attack a fraction of it, therefore being able to use
numerical
advantages against them.
6. Never let
your enemy
know where you will attack, thus they will have to defend many places,
and where you attack there will be few to defend.
7. If the enemy
has
prepared a defense in one area, the opposite area will be weak; say the
left side of theirdefense is well enforced, then logically the right
would
be vulnerable to your attack.
8. Maneuver with
an
indirect route and divert the enemy by enticing him with bait; you
could
use the mouse trap trick for this.
9. The use of
good weapons
such as the CPS 2000, CPS 1200, etc. is not as important as a good
supply
line (refill base); thus an army armed with an assortment of weapons
ranging
from a XP 105 to a CPS 1000 with a good refill base and access to it
can
defeat a force with weapons like XP 310-CPS 3200 without access to
supplies.
10. A commander
must
know the terrain in order to win. Without a good idea of what you
are getting into you may end up fighting the enemy entire army in a
place
unsuitable for your forces to escape or penetrate the enemy lines and
plunder
their base.
11. The refill
base
is a critical to the survival of an army, if you are not just having a
squirt fest, but seriously battling it is important to destroy or
capture
the enemies' base. If it is a faucet then unscrew the handle
rendering
it useless.
12. To defeat a
larger
force you must show your weaknesses as strengths (4.) and show your
army
to the enemy in as many places as possible in order to make them think
that you have a larger force than they. In Vermin War II we split our
small
force and attacked the enemy in many different places, thus making our
tiny army look huge to them without giving them a combined number to
show
our small force.
13. Never make a
fort
or base in a low lying area, the enemy can shoot into your fort, or
many
other problems.
14. In open
ground always
unite or keep in touch with the rest of your army, the enemy may be
able
to detect you, and defeat your forces one at a time.
15. Never linger
very
long in an enemies' territory without knowing their location, this is
perfect
for an ambush, or they could cut off your supply lines, and or take
your
fort.
16. Never shoot
into
the wind, make a hostile trooper attack you with the wind at your back;
in this way your shot will be more accurate and powerful, theirs may be
deflected aside or not a substantial hit.
17. If you are
very
good at target shooting, have a more powerful gun than your opponent,
and
are not quick at maneuvering or dodging then shoot the enemies blast
down
with your own gun, this can be very affective, and may have a
demoralizing
affect on your opponent.
18. Fight
downhill,
never ascend to attack unless otherwise impossible to do
otherwise.
In this way your shots will have the added effect of gravity upon them.
19. When you
battle
your enemy never fight with your back to a stream or river, take
position
in a way that you have good resources, an escape rout, and in a place
where
the enemy has to attack you in such a way that they cannot escape or
retreat
fast enough for you to catch them.
20. When
setting up
an ambush always have an escape rout so that the enemy does not
counter,
and trap you.
21. Always keep
a distance
from edges of a building when battling in an urban setting, in this way
you will not run around a corner after a fleeing oponent, and find the
whole enemy army waiting for you.
22. When in
hostile
teritory always make sure your troops have their guns on the smallest
nozzle
setting that still provides power, thus you will have a decent amount
of
time to get to the enemies' base without having to return to your own
to
refill.
23. When
confronted
with the ability to take the enemy fort but with major casualties, but
courage on your part as a leader, attack. You are in hostile
teritory,
and taking the enemies' fort is more important than staying dry in this
situation; you will have cut the enemy off from their supplies and
exhaust
them. This is one of the only times that you should attack when
you
know that you will suffer much on the part of staying dry yet you know
that you can take their position.ness to your team.
24. In battle
use the
ordinary squad to deter the enemy, then sweep their flank by attacking
the rear with your elite squad.
25. Do not
think
that to victory in a water war is to engage the enemy as many times as
possible and try to push them back. The key to success is in
misleading
the enemy, and thus overpowering them when they least expect it,
resulting
in a major victory with minimal dampness on your side.
